Music is a marvelous tool for ministry at Ocean View Baptist Church to enhance worship, encourage growth, and express giftedness. We enjoy a variety of musical styles in our worship each Sunday morning. In our 9:00 service we utilize a praise band and singers which lead music in a Contemporary upbeat style. At our 11:05 service we use our choir, piano, organ, and instrumentalists which lead music in a more traditional style.

The Ocean View School of Music is a part of the Music Ministry of Ocean View Baptist Church. Recognizing that music and the arts are gifts from God, it is our purpose to provide students with quality instruction and a means of expression for their God-given talents. In an environment where Christ is honored, students are challenged by qualified teachers to develop their unique and individual gifts for the glory and service of God. Being Christian-based does not mean that all music sung or played, or works performed is to have a religious theme or be sacred in nature. It does mean that we strive to have Christian teachers whose life-styles will reflect their faith, and that they will teach from a Christian perspective.
