Over the next two months the Strategy Planning Team will conclude the information gathering phase of its work—and this part requires your help! In the month of April we want you to ask a neighbor about the needs or challenges he/she faces on an on-going basis. During the month of May, the Planning Team and staff will be interviewing YOU about the direction of your own spiritual journey (more about that in a few weeks). The gathering of this information is important as the team discerns where the Lord is leading OVBC in the next phase of its life and ministry, and brings that information to you this fall.
The question for your neighbor should be asked between April 20 and April 30. Who fits into the “neighbor” category? Well, it can be someone who lives close by, someone at work or school, someone you see regularly in the gym or on the golf course or book club, or just about anyone else who you see in your normal pattern of living! Just be sure it is not someone who already attends Ocean View Baptist.
Over the next three Sundays we will have more information about how to ask your neighbor about the greatest needs or challenges he/she faces on an on-going basis. I promise—it won’t be that hard! You will be talking to people you already know. It’s just that you will be intentional to ask a question during part of your conversation.
